The background paper for this 12 x 12 layout is from SEI. It's called “baseball stripes.” The next layer is the red “fiber webbing” stuff...how's that for being technical. I didn't want the stripes to show through so I placed a strip of white card stock behind the red webbing. Then I matted the photos...two of them are double matted and the one on the middle left just has white matting. I decided to “hang” the middle left photo to mimic the guys hanging in the picture. I used eyelets and wire to get the effect. Finally, I added the computer printed journaling on the vellum. I used a fun green color font to go with the “fun times” theme.

This was such an easy scrapbook layout to do. All the hard work was done for me 'cause I used a scrapbook kit. I still had to decide where to put the photos and write the journaling (which I still haven't done...oops!) but it was super fast. I like that and I don't. I like the fast part but I really enjoy the creative part of scrappin'. So I use kits sometimes and most of the time, I start from scratch. This kit is from paperpizzaz.com – it's called Family HOTP 5715. I think I actually got it at Hobby Lobby?
