instructions and videos for 4 types of scrapbooks
How to Make a Scrapbook – See how I made an old fashioned, traditional scrapbook; a super easy cross between a photo album and a scrapbook; a 8 x 8 theme album and a super artsy, creative scrap project. You can choose what fits your needs and lifestyle.
How to Make a Scrapbook 1
This is a cross between a photo album and a scrapbook – a super easy way to scrap! If you've been browsing around online or looking at scrapbook magazines, you might be overwhelmed?! I've been scrapping for years and have a degree in interior design and I get seriously overwhelmed – there are so many talented scrappers out there. My husband and I took a trip to St. Louis and after wards I had no creative juices going on. So, instead of procrastinating until I could do it the “right” way or the way I wanted, I decided to enjoy creating a simple project. If you're overwhelmed, try a super simple scrap project. Get an acid, lignen and PVC free photo album and check out my video for inspiration.
How to Make a Scrapbook 2
I call this a photo journal – it is really just an old style memory book. I think so often the current scrapbooking industry has turned scrapping into an art form. I love that part of it too...sometimes too much! But I am constantly reminding myself not to get lost in the art but to remember the whole point – memories. Sometimes, though, I do scrap just for art therapy. : ) This album I leave on my kitchen counter next to my son's school record book and I'll add things here and there over time while I'm just living – find out more in the video below.
How to Make a Scrapbook 3
An 8 x 8 theme album – Our Fourth Anniversary. This is probably the most time consuming type of album to due in some ways because every page coordinates. You'll want to gather 1-2 pattern papers, 3-5 coordinating card stock colors and embellishments. I'll let the video fill you in on the details of how I did this album.
How to Scrapbook 4 – These are the super artsy creative handmade albums. I've done the following:
- album made out of wine glasses
- an accordion album place inside a decorative box
- a rolodex album – thanks for the idea Donna Downey
- an album made out of a football gift bag
You can see videos for these albums here.
