Discount Scrapbook Paper

I’ll show you 4 great places to get discount scrap paper

Discount Scrapbook Paper – I do most of my scrapbooking with card stock and patterned paper I get at big box stores with a coupon. I used to shop at my local scrapbook store and get specialty papers and designer papers. I still like to do that sometimes but I really can’t say that I have in years. The local store that I used to go to back in the day closed down and since then I’ve shopped at Hobby Lobby and Michaels mostly and gotten their paper packs when they are on sale or with a coupon from their sales flier. I’ve been quite happy with that…maybe some day I’ll venture back to a mom and pop shop and buy more designer stuff…who knows?

Ever thought of printing scrapbook paper and supplies?

Scrapbooking on a Budget?

Discount Scrapbook Paper – Michaels.com

Michaels - like most big box stores - runs weekly sales and many times they put their house brand paper packs on sale 40-50% off. I’ve stocked up on those before and they are great for doing theme albums or for mini albums where you want all your paper to coordinate. I think I am actually getting to have too much paper…that is one of my biggest scrapbook supplies. I don’t use a lot of embellishments…too expensive. I like them but I tend to stick to card stock, patterned paper, stamps, ink pads and hand journaling…that’s the style I’m mostly using at the moment. I do think I’d like to branch out and play with some technique style layouts…like paint and mixed media and mists…we’ll see….

To find good cheap scrapbook paper at Michaels, check out their weekly flier online at Michaels.com or download their smart phone ap to view it there. You can get coupons for 40-50% off in the sale flier and in the ap. Buy their paper packs when they are on sale or use a coupon…just be careful or you’ll end up being a scrapbook paper collector like me. : ) I need to keep using mine to scrap and not just look at it…how about you?

Here's a project I did with a paper pack I got at Michaels:

Discount Scrapbook Paper – AC Moore

I’m not quite as familiar with AC Moore – they are in the next town over but I’ve been there and I loved some of the cling stamps they carry…a bit off topic, I know. They do have coupons and weekly sales so you can get great cheap scrapbook paper here too! I just checked their sale paper on line at ACMoore.com and they have 50 paper packs in the 12 x 12 size for 10$ each – that’s half price…yay!

Discount Scrapbook Paper –Hobby Lobby

I’ve shopped at Hobby Lobby a lot over the years. They also have great patterned paper packs and card stock packs. They run sales each week as well and they usually have a 40% off 1 item coupon.

Here's a video showing a project I did with paper I got at Hobby Lobby...at least I'm 99% sure I got it there. : )

I used some animal print scrapbook paper and added some of my own brown card stock and tan and black ribbon. I used paper bags and a clipboard...so it is sort of like a paper bag scrapbook with a twist. : ) I also used some foam stamps and some animal zoo cut outs. It was a fun mini album to show off some photos of a day at the zoo.

Discount Scrapbook Paper – Joanns

I also used to go to Joanns a lot. Hobby Lobby and Michaels are closer to me now so I usually go there but Joanns has great stuff as well. They also have a weekly sales flier and coupons. You should be able to find all kinds of wonderful patterned paper and card stock to keep you going on scrapbook projects for a long time! : ) It’s more like brain overload from trying to choose which great paper to use…that’s always my problem...being overwhelmed. If you have the same problem, you might enjoy hanging out over at my Facebook page. I often post little baby steps of scrapbook projects that I’m doing. I’m up for questions or encouragement. Let me know how you stay motivated and enjoying your scrapbooking!
