To find the freebies on this site, you just enter “freebie” in the search box. Make sure it is “freebie” - if you an an s and make is freebies, you'll find almost nothing. Ask me how I know. : ) One of the things I love about this site is that most (if not all) the free printables are in PDF format. I'm still learning about digital stuff...file formats and photo editors and all that good stuff so all the other file types still confuse me a bit. I love being able to download and just print. Then I can cut it out and add it to my layout. I've done a few layouts like this but I can imagine I'll be doing more as the weeks and months go by. I especially like journaling tags/journaling spots as printables. Many times, I just write straight on my background card stock but I also like to keep all the journaling neatly contained in 1 spot and journaling cards are just the things. Some of them also have journaling prompts on them as well...for when I need a creative writing boost...a little variety is nice sometimes. : )

A bit random side trail here: This website has some fun ideas for journaling prompts...that's another thing I've had on my list for a while...finding a good resource for that. Sometimes, when I get ready to scrapbook, I don't have a story in mind or sometimes it is just nice to get some inspiration. Many times, my photos and my “stories to tell” list that I keep give me plenty of inspiration and then sometimes it is nice to get inspiration from a 3rd party. There are not a ton of freebies here but the ones that are here are really cute! You'll find some subway art, days and months, numbers list and numbers tabs that could be used as borders, an old rotary phone with “hello” printed in the middle, abc borders, and a few others. It looks like they are in PDF format as well which I like as a beginner. : )
