Hey, Ya'll,

Well, gardening and mowing are just around the corner...I'm glad and also "dreading" all the extra work and time it takes. I love the warm weather and sunshine and I like to see things grow...it just takes lots of extra time to keep it looking semi-neat and orderly. : ) I've barely adjusted to the time change...the first couple of nights, we found ourselves eating supper at 9 or 10...just got faked out by the fact that it was still light. It felt like 4-5 instead of 7-8 and time just flew by. I'm glad I've been able to get some scrapbooking done...and I'm glad you're here to see some things I've done. : ) I hope your scrapbooking is coming along...a little at a time...we can do it!

BFF Scrapbook Layout

My BFF...AKA my sister. We did everything together while we were growing up. We didn't need any other best friends...we had plenty of other friends...just not quite as close as we were. I found these pics while organizing some old photos...they didn't really "go" with anything else but I wanted to use them. So I did a layout with some random journaling...some about us growing up and some about the clothes I was wearing in the photos and some about were the photos were taken...random, rambling journaling...the kind I'm best at. : )

For this 12 x 12 layout, I used a red and tan polka dot paper as the background...I did cut out a large square underneath the part where I put the script paper on top...that way I have some red polka dot scrap left over. Next, I used a cream 8 1/2 x 11 piece of card stock. I grouped the 2 4x6 photos along with the strip of red on top of the blue mulberry paper. I used foam stamps for the title and then added the flourish stamp in black as well. Last: I did the hand journaling with a fine point Sharpie.

See how to use mulberry paper....

Supplies:

Background Paper: Mosaic Memories paper pad by Recollections (Michael's brand)

Title: foam stamps

Embellishment: flourish stamp from Inkadinkado Dot Flourishes - got these at Michael's as well

Surprise 17

More old photos...it's fun to go "way back" and scrapbook photos of my teenage years. It seems like "forever" since then. I texted my sister a pic of this layout and she said she barely remembered the event...my 17th surprise birthday party...can you believe that? She didn't remember my 17th birthday? : ) This was super simple to do and I used my favorite pocket technique so I could fit a lot of photos onto 1 12x12 layout. I used a plain piece of white card stock for the back ground and then used the teal pattern for the pocket. I attached it with staples. Then I attached the photos and added the flourish stamp and the arrow stamp. The title and the big 17 are cling stamps I got at Michael's - not sure what they are exactly...they're not in the original package.

Supplies:

Background paper: same as the 1st layout : )

Flourish stamp: same as the 1st layout : )

What about next month?

You just never know. We'll see...stay tuned to Youtube to find out.

Until sometime around the middle of April
