Hey, Ya'll,
I hope you find this month's layouts helpful and inspiring...maybe you had an Upward soccer player too or maybe you can adapt my ideas to your child's sports photos? We have been enjoying warmer than usual weather here lately and the boys have been playing in the mud! Yuck! We have an extra large grunge clothes pile in the garage. Boys get SO messy! I have some pics of them covered in mud that would make for some fun scrapbook layouts : )
For my new subscribers: these are some pages that I have added to my site recently.
Baby Scrapbook Layouts

Upward Soccer –
This was SO fun to do! Each Upward soccer player gets a poster at the beginning of the season. It is for posting their stars for Scripture memory and for each game day. Each of the boys had one of these and we hung them on the wall in the dining room which is also where we do school. So we looked at them all season. It was fun to put Weston's on this layout and the posters are a huge part of the memories from the season. I decided to use the photo that I took of the night that they got their uniforms/kit and then the pics from the awards celebration. I'm thinking Noah might put his poster on his layout or fold it up and include it in a pocket? So, this was super simple to do. I just cut up the poster (I didn't include all of it) and placed the photos. I made 2 of the photos into "tags/pull outs" and put them into the pocket on the right page along with the journaling "tag/pull out" I made.
Upward Soccer - Weston Style - I LOVE simple layouts. This one is inspired by Simple Scrapbooks mag style. I hate that they aren't around anymore. They always had the nicest designs. This is just 2 12x12 pieces of white card stock. I started with the 8 1/2 x 11 piece of vellum. I punched circles in the upper right corner. I then added the 4 4x6 photos in the center to create the focal point. For embellishments I added the punch out tag from a kit I had and added the UPWARD sticker title to it. Then, I used some foam stamps for the FLASH title (Weston's team name) and finally I did the journaling and did a bit of doodling. I labeled the group shot with the kid's names...someday it will be hard to remember them.
Upward Soccer - Noah's (almost 7yo)layout -
We did this as a home school project...one day after we got our formal academic stuff done we sat down on the den floor and had a mini lesson about putting together a scrapbook page...I resisted the perfectionistic urge to "help" him too much. We did talk about what you need for a layout - photos, journaling, title, paper and he did most of it himself with a few suggestions. : )
Christmas Project Idea - This is the cutest idea for keeping your Christmas recipes all together or it would make an awesome gift or stocking stuffer and the best part - it's FREE! You just have to print it out and put it together. I did a sneak peek video for my YouTube subscribers a few days ago...
