Hey, Ya'll,

I am slowly putting the yard "to bed" and like I've been saying, hopefully, I'll be getting more scrapbooking done and more work on my site done. That means more info and reviews for you all!

Today was yard work and school and cooking projects. I made sauerkraut for the first time. My grandparents made it so I grew up eating it quite a bit but this is my first time making it myself. I used a recipe from Nourishing Traditions and I also looked up some "how to" videos on YouTube. Right now it is sitting on the counter. In 3 days I'll see how it turned out. They say it gets better with age so I'll probably let one of them sit longer and maybe eat one right away. We'll see? : )

What's New?

Not much I'm sad to say...

I've been doing life, yard work and school so I haven't spent much time researching or updating.

Dreamy...

My little man was looking out the window - waiting for his Grandmother to pick him up. I just happened to have my camera and snapped this photo. I've loved it ever since and I found a lovely digital scrapbook kit to use with it. This layout was quite simple to do. I used a background paper from the kit and then added the two swirl elements. On the left swirl, I added the round rust colored tag and added a digital brad to make it look like it was hanging on the swirl. I then added the drop shadows and the journaling and that was it! : )

Sledding Fun
We had so much fun a couple years ago when it iced over on our road. There was enough ice that we could sled down it. We kept veering off and running into the curb. Good memories!

Supplies:

Background paper and elements from Winter Blues kit by Rachel Dickson from Computerscrapbook.com

Journaling block paper from Jen Reed Moments in Time Paper 8 - also from Computerscrapbook.com

What about next month?

You just never know. We'll see...stay tuned to Youtube to find out.

Until sometime around the middle of November…

Send Me Your Layouts...

I’d love to see what you’ve been up to. I’ll pick 2 or 3 for each issue and publish them along with your photo (if you want) and a bio about your real life scrapbooking adventures. So, send them to Rachel@free-scrapbooking-ideas-and-videos.com with “e-zine layout submission” in the subject line.
